Public Be a leader - Cub Scout Pack 406 (Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania)

We welcome as many parents to participate and volunteer as leaders.

All leaders must be 18+ years old.

All leaders will need to do a few things to be compliant with BSA policies.

(1) Create a (free) Scouting.org account

(a) Follow the links to complete the online (free) Youth Protection video training

(b) Depending on how senior your role is, you may need to take additional (free) video training for your position

(2) Complete the adult volunteer application (2 pages that need to be signed)

(3) Request PA criminal background clearances

(a) PA state police history check (free)

(b) PA department of child abuse history check (free)

(4) If you have lived in PA for 10+ years, you can submit a PA Disclosure statement

Go thru the fingerprint based FBI clearance by registering online with IdentoGO (1KG6ZJ - Pennsylvania DHS-Volunteer)

Visiting an onsite fingerprinting site such as Cranberry Messenger (by appointment only, reimbursed by the pack)

(5) Throughout the year, there will be opportunities to take BALOO training for leaders that will go on overnight camping trips (reimbursed by the pack)
